what i liked beyond privacy: you can extend the engine itself. Instant Answers and cheatsheets push useful info onto the results page — ZeroClickInfo — so people get what they need without drowning in blue links.

you can build fatheads, goodies, and other IAs to help people find answers faster. if you care about search and don’t want to feed the ad machine, this is still one of the cleaner places to put your queries.
